Summer 2010. This one was inspired by a daydream that had me thinking of a winter scene that was all cool colors, sort of a parade of winter animals going through the frosty forest. However, the winter maiden’s head is turned by something different than all the things around her: a red cardinal. One single drop of blood in a landscape of white sculptures and violet shadows.
